Digital Guest Cards

Connection Card Pro’s Digital Guest Cards is a fast and easy way to get New Guests to provide their contact information to you. Digital Guest Cards can also be used for Prayer Requests.

Digital Guest Cards can be accessed via:

• A Direct Link
• Scanning a QR Code
• Texting a keyword

Use your Digital Guest Cards to quickly gather information from your New Guests, or those who have prayer requests. Whenever a new person completes a digital guest card, they will be automatically added to your database. If you have the Follow-up Alerts widget enabled on your dashboard, their name will appear here as well.

You do not need the Text Add-on when using links or QR codes since phone browsers can open these. But will need the Text Messaging Add-On if you want to use a texting keyword. You can sign up for text messaging add-on anytime by going to your Profile Image in top right corner of toolbar > Billing and under Additional Service go to Text Messaging, then click Select and Confirm Changes.

To Create Digital Guest Cards

From the menu:
People > Digital Guest Cards > New Digital Guest Card 

• Enter your Description and select the requested information options. We recommend asking for Email and Cell phone to help the system detect anyone already in the system so a duplicate will not be created. Make sure to check Family info if you would like to have their family included on this digital guest card.

• Select any auto assignments you would like along with Attendance options.
  

• Enter a text keyword if you have the texting add-on and your initial response (brief welcome message) you would like them to receive when they text this keyword, along with your link to take them to your digital guest card. If you have Text Messaging your number will be displayed here for your use. Text Keywords must be 4-16 characters long.
  
• Note: This initial response is just sent when they text the keyword, there is no initial message required for the Link and QR code, since the Link and QR code takes them directly to the form. When they text the keyword it sends back a text with your initial response message and a link to go to the form.

• You can use the Thank You Message displayed here or change or add to this to customize.
  
• Automated Email - If you would like the new visitor(s) to receive an automated email (such as a Welcome Email) after they submit a digital guest card, chose from the drop-down menu an Email template that you previously created, otherwise leave this as Disabled. If you have not created a template yet, finish creating this guest card first and Save, then create your template and come back to edit and add to your Digital Guest Card.  If you choose to send an automated email, select from the drop-down how soon after submitting their digital guest card this automated email will be sent.
• Automated Text - If you would like the new visitor(s) to receive an automated text message (such as a Welcome Text) after they submit a digital guest card, chose from the drop-down menu a text template that you previously created, otherwise leave this as Disabled.  If you have not created a template yet, finish creating this guest card first and Save, then create your template and come back to edit and add to your Digital Guest Card. If you choose to send an automated text, select from the drop-down how soon after submitting their digital guest card this automated text will be sent.
  
• Notifications - Select all admin users that should be notified when this digital guest card is submitted and select where you want the notifications to be sent – their email or text or both.
• SAVE

Your QR Code will appear on next screen to download and save as an image.  All of your Direct Links, Text Keywords and QR Codes will be available on the Digital Guest Cards page.  

Please Note: To prevent your guests from experiencing dead links, Direct links and QR codes are unable to be deleted once created. You can still create new links and codes to use and not use the older ones any longer, but they are not able to be deleted.

To View/Use Your Created Links and QR Codes

From the menu:
People > Digital Guest Cards

Here you will find your list of Digital Guest cards with their links, QR Codes and Text Keyword.

Keyword to Text – if your keyword does not show on this page, go to Communications > Settings > Automated Communication Settings and Allow and check the options for Texting that you desire, along with checking “Allow Automated Texts to guests who submit a Digital Guest Card" (as long as you have the Texting Add-on).

Links can be copied and pasted to be used on your website, worship guide, check-in Kiosk screen, displayed on TV screens or projected in your services, printed on labels to place where desired, posters, etc.

QR codes can be found here if you did not already download after creating, click to the right of the Digital card the Generate QR Code button.

Download and save this image to use on your website, worship guide, check-in Kiosk screen, displayed on TV screens or projected in your services, printed on labels to place where desired, posters, etc. When displayed on a screen, just make sure it is large enough for guests to scan with their phone from their seats.

You can create multiple direct links for different events or platforms to track which ones are most effective. 

 * Side Note: Direct Links, QR Codes and Texting Keywords can also be used for Sign-Up and other forms for Members and Guests in Forms. You can set those up in Forms > New Forms.

To Subscribe to the Text Messaging Add-on

If you are not already subscribed to it, click on your icon at the top right of toolbar > Billing and under Additional Service go to Text Messaging and move the circle on the bar to the number of texts per month you would like to add to see the cost and click to Select and Confirm Changes. Then go to Communication>Settings>Text Settings to chose your number and finish setting up.
