Creating Custom Fields to Use as Dynamic Text

Connection Card Pro offers you the ability to create your own custom fields for your people profiles that can be used as dynamic text in your communications! Custom fields (that show in person’s profile) can be used with Dynamic Text when sending emails, texts and letters. Example: create a Custom field called “Salutation” for when you have an email or text to send to a large group but each one could have a different title you would like to address them by, such as Pastor Brad, Minister Brad, Dr. Brad, etc.

Step 1: Create this new Custom field to use for Dynamic Text

From the Menu:
People > People Settings > Custom Fields

• Click on “Add New” to create a new custom field to use for dynamic text.
• Fill out your label/name of this field, and all information for your new field.
• Check “Available for Dynamic Text”
• Click Submit to save and create your new field.

Step 2: Edit each person’s profile this custom field for dynamic text will apply to:

• Click Edit in their profile, or from the person list.
• Go to that custom field and enter the text you want to show when using dynamic text in your communications with this person.
• Save

Step 3: Using this custom dynamic text field in your Emails, Texts and letters:

Go to Communications and choose your form of communication of Email, Text or Letters & Mailings.

Create your new email, text or Letter and click on “Dynamic Text” in the top toolbar where you would like this dynamic text to be inserted and select from the dropdown menu the custom field dynamic to use here.
