If you need to close your Fortis merchant account, the closure request must be submitted directly by your organization to Fortis.
Although Connection Card Pro can help you set up a Fortis merchant account, we are not able to close it on your behalf.
When your organization created its Fortis account, it signed a merchant application directly with Fortis.
Because of that Connection Card Pro cannot close your Fortis merchant account.
Closing your Connection Card Pro account does not automatically close your Fortis merchant account.
To request closure of your Fortis merchant account:
Fill out all required information. You can find your Merchant ID on your Fortis statements or by logging into Connection Card Pro and going to Giving > Giving Setup.
Use the instructions provided on the form.
Your Fortis account will remain open until Fortis receives and processes your closure request. Fortis' $10 monthly minimum will continue applying to your account until it is closed. Unfortunately, Connection Card Pro does not have any control over this.
Closing or cancelling your Connection Card Pro account does not automatically close your Fortis merchant account.
If your organization no longer plans to use Fortis, we recommend submitting the closure form promptly so you can confirm the account has been properly closed with the processor.
