Connection Card Pro allows you to set a refund policy for event registrations. This helps your team decide what should happen when a registration is cancelled and keeps your refund process more consistent.
Your default refund policy can be set by going to:
Events > Event Settings
Under the Refund Policy section, choose the policy that should apply by default to your events.
This default policy will apply to future events or existing events which don't currently have an event-level refund policy set. Individual events may use a different refund policy for a specific event and event-level policies will override the organization defaults.
Individual events can use a different refund policy than your organization’s default policy. This is helpful when one event has a unique payment or cancellation policy, such as a camp, retreat, conference, or ticketed production.
Once an event has paid registrations, the refund policy cannot be changed in a way that becomes more restrictive. For example, if people registered under a more generous refund policy, you cannot later change the event to a stricter refund policy for those existing registrations.
You may still be able to change the policy in a way that is more generous to registrants.
The refund policy is used when cancelling a registration and choosing:
Issue Refund based on Refund Policy
Connection Card Pro will use the event’s refund policy to determine the refund amount.
You can still choose a different refund option when cancelling a registration, such as issuing a full refund, partial refund, or no refund, depending on the situation.
If the entire event is cancelled, all paid registrations must be refunded regardless of your refund policy. This may be enforced directly by Connection Card Pro if complaints are received from registrants.
