Customizing the Journey Tab using Custom Fields
It's easy to track sacraments, milestones, or other attributes about an individual in a featured way in their Journey Tab using Custom Fields.

When you have specific information that you would like to commonly track or view about the individuals in your organization, you can display those custom fields on their Journey tab. By doing this, it'll separate those custom fields from all other custom fields which are normally displayed at the bottom of the Person's profile, and will feature them near the top of the Person's Journey tab.
Unlike the custom fields displayed on a person's profile, which only display the custom field's label when there is information saved for that field - On the Journey Tab, all custom fields assigned to the Journey tab will always be visible, even when there is no information saved. This helps you clearly see that a field or sacrament may be missing or not recorded.
It's easy to set up:
- As an admin user, go to the People menu. Choose People Settings. Click Custom Fields.
- Add a new Custom Field or Edit an Existing One.
- Under Options, check the checkbox for Display in Journey Tab.
- Once checked, the Icon dropdown will be revealed. Optionally, you may choose an icon to represent this custom field on the Journey Tab. If you select "None", a default generic icon will be used.
- Once finished, save that custom field.

Tips and Suggestions
Here are few tips and suggestions for using this in the best way possible:
- Custom Fields on the Journey tab will be grouped by their Custom Field Category. This keeps your Journey tab organized and keeps like items together!
- Only the most common custom fields and milestones or attributes that you wish to track across all of your people should be included in the Journey tab. Although there's no limit, having less will make it easier to see and find the data you're looking for.
- If no information is saved for a specific custom field for a person, then that custom field will still be visible in the Journey tab, even though it won't be visible in the main profile for that person.
