Sharing Files in Groups

Connection Card Pro gives you the option to upload files to any group (Departments, Divisions, Small Groups, Crews and Classes) to share with your members and leaders.

Your members and leaders can view the uploaded files in their personal hub portal when they go into Groups and then click on that group and view files towards the bottom of that group page. Or from the APP and click on Groups from the bottom menu, then click on that group and click files. Admins and Leaders with admin permissions can view in Manage > Files OR they can go to Groups > Group type > Gear button for that Group > Manage Group Files.

PREREQUISITES: Enable settings to allow Groups and Files to be shown in the hub:

Enable Groups to Show in Hub:

From the menu:
Communications > Settings > Hub & App Settings

• Check Groups if not checked to enable Groups to be seen in the Personal Hub.
• Scroll down to the bottom to click Save.

Enable Files to Show in Hub:

From the menu:
Groups > Group Type > Edit button for that Group

• Under the "Personal Hub / Self Manage" section, check "Show group files in personal hub".
• Scroll down to the bottom to click Save.

To Upload Files to Share with a Group

From the menu:
Groups > Select Group type > Gear button for that Group > Upload New File

• When you upload a file to share with the group, you can choose whether it is available to everyone who is part of the group, only leaders, or only admin users.

Admin users are always able to view those files from the same place (Groups > Group Type > Gear button for that Group > Manage Group Files) and also in Manage > Files.

Leaders and members of the group will be able to find any files shared with them in either their Personal Hub or in the mobile app. In both cases, by going to Groups, choosing the specific group, and then they will see an option / section for files.
