Creating a Simple Budget

Connection Card Pro ‘s Budget feature will help you and your staff efficiently create a budget for your organization quickly! Our Budget feature also includes a Reimbursement Requests feature and Credit Card Expense Reports!

Your department staff can use our powerful Budgeting feature to quickly build an annual budget! Grant access to ministry leaders to submit line items for their own departments which automatically sync up with your chart of accounts.

Use our Budget feature to create an entire annual budget for your church or organization in less than an hour! (at least according to one of our customers who recently created an annual budget for a network of 8 churches in less than 45 minutes!). 

To Create a New “Simple” Budget

STEP 1:

If you have not already done so, create your Primary and Secondary Leaders for the Department you are creating a budget for. These classifications can be customized in the Department (or other group types) by going to Groups > Departments > Click the Gear Icon > Classifications.

STEP 2:

From the menu:

Accounting > Budgets

• Type in your Description/Title and complete all fields here and click Next.
• Select Simple Budget option and Save changes.
• Add your Income and Expense Line items under the appropriate heading.
• Use the + to add more line items.
• Click “Same Amount each Period” to automatically enter the same amount in the other months or quarters after you enter an amount in the first column. Or uncheck to enter different amounts for each month or quarter.
• In Expense line items you can choose to use a dollar amount or automatically calculate an amount based on a percentage of your budget from an income line item.
• Save Budget
• Submit budget when completed.
